Present continuous - upitni oblik

Pokazuju nam vrijeme radnje. Najčešće dolaze na kraju.

Prisjeti se! → Now, at the moment, today, this week itd.

• What are you doing at the moment?

• Where is he going now?

Pravilo: am/is/are + osoba + glagol + ing +?

„to be“ = am/ is /are

• Are you doing your homework?

• Is he singing a song?

Pravilo:

DO/DOES + osoba + glagol (osnovni oblik) + dodatne informacije + vrijeme?

• Do you go to music school twice a week?.

• Does she eat cereal for breakfast every morning?

• Do they visit their granny at the weekend?

Zapamti!

Engleski voli red ! → Do/does + tko + što radi + dodatno što je u rečenici + kada

am/is/are + osoba + glagol + ing + ostatak (što?/ mjesto/ vrijeme)

• Am I sitting in your chair?

• Is he sleeping in his room?

• Are they watching tv at the moment?

→ am/is/are = „to be“ = pomoćni glagol

→ osoba = tko (I, you, he, she, it, we, they… Mary, John, teacher, parents, cat, friends, girls, itd.)

→ glagol + ing = radnja

Pravilo: wh-question + is + osoba (he) + glagol (eat) +ing + dodatak (for lunch) + vremenski izraz (today).

• What is he eating for lunch today?

Upitnu riječ uvijek stavljamo na početak pitanja. Uvijek ISPRED am/is/are.

What are they doing at the moment?

→ They are working in the garage.

Upitne riječi (question words) → koristimo kad tražimo više informacija

Uvijek dolaze na 1. mjesto u rečenici!

What? When? Where? Why? Who? How? How?

• Why am I crying? → I am crying because the film is sad.

• What are they doing? → They are watching tv.

• Where is she going? → She is going to school.

• Am I doing this right?

• Is he playing tennis?

• Are they writing a test?

→ na takva pitanja odgovaramo s YES ili NO → kratki odgovori

Upitni oblik → koristimo kada pitamo što se događa SADA ili TRENUTNO

Pitanja tvorimo tako da ZAMJENIMO mjesta osobe i glagola “to be“

• I am trying. → Am I trying? (Pokušavam li ja?)

• She is reading. → Is she reading? (Čita li ona?)

• They are sleeping. → Are they sleeping? (Spavaju li oni?)
