Glavni i redni brojevi

• 43 → forty-three → 43rd → the forty-third → iznimka – third (3.)

• 55 → fifty-five → 55th → the fifty-fifth → → Pazi! five → fifty → fifth

• 64 → sixty-four → 64th → the sixty-fourth → → svi ostali redni brojevi
  završavaju na „-th“

• 555 → five hundred and fifty-five → 555th → the five hundred and fifty-fifth

• 699 → six hundred and ninety-nine → 699th → the six hundred and ninety-ninth

Svi složeni brojevi pišu se s crticom (-).

Glavni brojevi → desetica + crtica (-) + broj (1-9)

Redni brojevi → samo je ZADNJI broj redni!

• 21 → twenty-one → 21st → the twenty-first → iznimka – first (1.)

• 32 → thirty-two → 32nd → the thirty-second → iznimka – second (2.)

• 4 - four → 4th - the fourth → opće pravilo – svi ostali redni brojevi imaju „th“

NE koristimo točku (.) za redne brojeve u engleskom.

Član „the“ najčešće ide uz redne brojeve.

• 100 - a/one hundred → 100th - the one hundredth

• 200 - two hundred → 200th - the two hundredth

• 300 - three hundred → 300th - the three hundredth

• 20 - twenty → 20th - the twentieth → promjena: „y“ → „ie“ + „th“

• 30 - thirty → 30th - the thirtieth → Pazi! three → thirty

• 40 - forty → 40th - the fortieth → Pazi! four → forty

• 50 - fifty → 50th - the fiftieth → Pazi! five → fifty

Sve desetice na engleskom završavaju na „-ty“.

Brojevi od 13 – 19 se lako pamte → svi završavaju na -TEEN!

REDNI BROJEVI odgovaraju na pitanje KOJI PO REDU? (Which?)

Ako ispred REDNOG BROJA stoji POSVOJNA RIJEČ → nema „THE“

my, your, his, her, its, our, their → bez „THE“

• 105 - one hundred and five → 105th - the one hundred and
  fifth → iza stotica dodajemo „and“

  second → prva tri redna broja su
  posebna!

Koristimo riječ „and“ iza stotice!

• 16 - sixteen → 16th - the sixteenth

• 17 - seventeen → 17th - the seventeenth

• 18 - eighteen → 18th - the eighteenth → gubi jedno „t“

• 19 - nineteen → 19th - the nineteenth → zadržava slovo „e“

• 1231 → one thousand two hundred and thirty-one → 1231st → the one thousand two hundred and
  thirty-first

• 4544 → four thousand five hundred and forty-four → 4544th → the four thousand five hundred and
  forty-fourth

Koristimo riječ „and“ iza stotice!

Prva tri redna broja su potpuno drugačiji!

Broj „0“ se čita ZERO samo kada je sam kao broj (samostalan).

U svim velikim brojevima ZERO se ne čita!

603 = six hundred and three → „0“ kao broj se ne čita!

1205 = one thousand two hundred and five → „0“ kao broj se ne čita!
